Chestnut Fair of San Zeno di Montagna

The Chestnut Fair takes place annually during the chestnut harvest season, between late October and early November. This year, the event will be held on October 28, 29, and 31, and November 1, 4, and 5. The highlight of the event is the "flavors market," where visitors can taste the *Marrone di San Zeno* (PDO) chestnut in its many forms, accompanied by a fine glass of local wine. The festival also features competitions such as the "Marron d’Oro" (Golden Chestnut), reserved for producers belonging to the *Consorzio di Tutela del Marrone di San Zeno* (PDO) Consortium, and the *Palio Gastronomico delle Contrade* (District Gastronomic Contest), which awards a prize for the best chestnut *minestrone*—one of the most traditional and delicious ways to prepare this exceptional product.
