Bosco Chiesanuova is one of the most populous villages of the highland, and is divided into various hamlets, such as Valdiporro, Corbiolo, Arzeré and Lughezzano, as well as about 250 small residential areas called "Contrade", now partly uninhabited. But there is more, high green pastures characterise the greatest altitudes of the area, where summer pasture has been taking place for thousands of years, thanks to ancient houses and stone huts. The undisputed protagonists of its history are the Cimbri, ancient Tyrolean Bavarian people, who, after occupying the territory of the Frizzolana, in 1375 obtained the right to erect a parish independent from that of Roverè, with a new church dedicated to San Tommaso. Thus was born Bosco Chiesanuova, which with the passing of the centuries saw a continuous growth until, after the unification of Italy, it began to be frequented by nobles and bourgeois. In 1928, declared Climate Station, it was the site of the first Tourism and Tourist Resort of the Veronese, when summer and winter holiday tourism made Bosco Chiesanuova the "pearl" of the Lessini Mountains, recording tourist presences equal to other Trentino Mountain locations. Today, Bosco Chiesanuova offers traditional products from the Lessini Mountains, such as cheeses and cured meats. Trekking enthusiasts can explore the various surrounding trails. Bosco also has an ice-skating rink open year-round, which is magical during the Christmas season. At Christmastime, Bosco's main square also comes alive with the lights and sounds of Christmas.
