BaitoneAlpino suggests: Giardino Pojega
The Garden extends over an area of 54,000 square meters, developed on three levels, characterized by slopes and plains that follow the morphology of the hill and give the landscape an extraordinary variety. Today the Pojega Garden represents the last wonder of the Italian garden and presents itself in its maximum splendor thanks to careful restoration and conservation work. There are four main paths that wind through the Garden: the Via del Giorno along the Viale dei Carpini, the Via della Notte along the Sentiero del Boschetto, the Via della Conoscenza along the Viale dei Cipressi (which connects the formal garden to the theater), la Via della Virtù along the Via della Virtù. At the top of the Viale dei Cipressi is the Belvedere; then follows the Temple in the grove, and finally the Teatro di Verzura and the Pond connect the two ends of the central avenue. While the Viale di Carpini constitutes the lower path. During the renovation of the Villa, a connection was opened, consisting of the small bridge that leads to the private garden of the family, or the Secret Garden, which is not in the original layout, but is from the late 19th century. This part with an Italian garden, flower beds and flowerbeds, is characterized by a Nymphaeum and water features. It is also possible to taste the wine of the Rizzardi Winery, which develops around the Pojega Garden and Villa Rizzardi. With the grapes grown in the vineyards surrounding the estate, fine Valpolicella wines are produced, including Amarone and Ripasso.
